The emirate of Sharjah continues to develop its digital infrastructure in the real estate sector through efforts to unify and update data across relevant government entities, with the aim of building an integrated information ecosystem that supports faster transaction processing, raises service quality, and enhances decision-making efficiency in one of the vital sectors underpinning economic and urban growth in the emirate.
In this context, the technical team for monitoring the update and integration of real estate data — established under the committee of the integrated real estate services platform project 'Aqari' — held a meeting chaired by Dr. Abdullah Ali Al Shuhail, with the participation of representatives from relevant government entities, to discuss mechanisms for addressing challenges related to real estate data and strengthening coordination between agencies to ensure the continuous integration and updating of information.
The technical team affirmed the importance of the directives provided by Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department and Chairman of the 'Aqari' platform project committee, in supporting real estate data integration efforts, describing them as a fundamental pillar of the digital transformation process, the development of government services, and the improvement of information exchange efficiency — in line with the accelerating growth the emirate is witnessing across urban, economic, and demographic levels.
The meeting discussed the most prominent challenges related to real estate data quality and ways to address the continuous changes occurring in records — including land and map updates, subdivision and consolidation operations, and other procedures that directly affect the accuracy of digital services provided to users. Representatives of government entities also reviewed the solutions and measures implemented to address these challenges, alongside an examination of the technical requirements needed to enhance integration between digital systems, unify data sources, and identify the entities responsible for managing them, so as to ensure the continuity of information updates and raise the level of their accuracy and reliability.
The technical team confirmed that the coming phase will see the preparation of executive recommendations supported by a clear action plan focusing on addressing current gaps and enhancing the reliability of real estate data, in a way that supports the 'Aqari' platform, strengthens digital integration among government entities, and contributes to improving the user experience, developing services, and raising institutional work efficiency in Sharjah's real estate sector.
