Precious metals rose during the week ending 3 July 2026 compared with the close of 26 June 2026, supported by a retreat in expectations of tighter US monetary policy and weak labour market data, which boosted demand for safe-haven assets.

Gold closed at $4,175.21 per ounce on 3 July, up from $4,089.04 on 26 June, a gain of 2.11%.

Silver closed at $62.38 per ounce on 3 July, compared with $59.15 per ounce on 26 June, a rise of 5.46%.
