Data from the International Energy Agency show that the global transition to electric vehicles continued to accelerate in 2025, with Norway topping the list of countries by electric vehicle share of total sales, reaching 97%, according to the agency's figures.
Nepal ranked second at 68%, followed by Singapore at 63%, Iceland at 62%, and China at 53%. The list also included Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Uruguay, and the European Union.
