An expert committee is set to submit its recommendations to the European Commission today on imposing a ban on children's use of social media platforms across all 27 European Union member states, as part of a plan to regulate children's access to these applications, following the adoption of similar measures in more than 20 countries around the world. The law is expected to enter into force in late 2026.
