A new study has warned of a security vulnerability in the "Hide My Email" feature launched by the American electronics and technology company as a privacy protection tool, which could lead to the exposure of users' real email addresses.

Apple launched the feature with the aim of allowing the use of temporary email addresses to create accounts on various websites and services, while concealing users' real email addresses to protect their privacy online.

The website "404 Media" revealed the existence of the security flaw, confirming that it had been tested and verified. Tyler Murphy, the researcher who discovered the vulnerability, said he had warned Apple of the problem more than a year ago, and that it was unclear why the company had not addressed it so far, adding that all attempts to exploit the vulnerability had been successful.
