Researchers have succeeded in developing an effective method for capturing microplastic particles from wastewater with a success rate exceeding 90%. The technology, published in the journal ACS ES&T Water, relies on combining air bubbles of varying sizes to lift contaminated plastic particles to the water's surface, facilitating their removal.
