NASA's spacecraft Lucy has spotted an asteroid known as "Donald Johanson" that displayed unusual characteristics as it travelled through space.

Data showed that the asteroid does not rotate regularly around a single axis, but instead performs a complex wobbling motion that makes it resemble a "wobbling peanut," the result of its rotation around two different axes, according to the Independent. Scientists believe it was formed by an ancient collision that caused a larger carbon- and water-rich body to break apart approximately 155 million years ago.
