A friendship between a fisherman and a stork has recently gained worldwide fame after developing in a remarkable and inspiring way over 15 years. The stork began inviting other birds to join him in meeting — and even visiting — the fisherman on his boat out at sea, with the birds sharing the elderly Turkish man's small vessel.
As reported by the Eram News website, recent photographs taken on the boat of fisherman Adam Yilmaz at Lake Uluabat in Bursa province in northwestern Turkey showed the man alongside his stork friend "Yarin," who has visited him regularly for 15 years. This year, however, Yarin arrived at the boat accompanied by his female partner "Nazli," and they were joined by other birds including a heron, a seagull, and others, all sharing a meal of fish offered by the fisherman to his friends.
